Dut One’s Honda Civic Type R from San Diego is one of a kind.

With five modified Hondas and nearly a decade of experience under his belt, Dut had a pretty thorough understanding of their attributes and tunability; he craved the raw, unpolished allure and scarce JDM subtleties only a genuine Civic Type-R could give him. Rather than attempt to convert a USDM chassis to JDM specs, as he’d seen a lot of his peers do in vain over the years.

Koyama-san and the crew from JUN Auto were out to do some shakedown laps in the new JUN Evo X at recent Tsukubu meet, hosted by Amuse. Nobuteru Taniguchi drove the car and give his valuable feedback to the JUN mechanics.

The 1st official test for inaugural event of the SuperGT at Suzuka took place today, with another day tomorrow.

There were 5 NSXs in the GT500 class top ten!

Satoshi Motoyama & Benoit Treluyer set the top time in their number 23 car, XANAVI NISMO GT-R with a 1′53.383 best time, but with less than two seconds between the top ten, its sure to be a close season.

Kazuho Takahashi & Hiroki Katoh set a 2′06.798 best time in their Privée KENZO Asset Shiden.

The first 2NZ event at York Raceway is to be held on 24th March, Easter Monday.

York Raceway’s 2NZ  Run What You’ve Brung series  is for those who want to test their skills and power against similar performing cars and you can usually get plenty of track time – with UNLIMITED runs.

The Super Street Shootout event also includes;

1. Test & Tune for High Performance and Drag Cars
2. Run What You’ve Brung Sessions
3. Air-Cooled Eliminations Round 1

Sure to be a top day out. Wind prevailing, those of you who have already been to York Raceway will know how windy it can get there - even in the middle of Summer, it gets gale force!

The management have done a fantastic job at securing high profile locations for all rounds, most noteably Wembley!

Judged by Mathew “Mitto” Steele and Julian “Kipad” Smith, commentated by Dan Joyce of Dirty Sanchez fame, the whole series is sure to be an amazing and incredibly popular event.

Scott Whitelaw runs a record 10.6 in the final of the JapShow Finale at Santa Pod Raceway in October 2007, using a CPL Racing Honda Civic. Scott is Racing Ian Page in the Emmetts Garage Nissan 100. With this run, Scott won the first ever UK championship for front wheel drive cars.
